Rockingham Magistrates Court is located at Whitfield Street, Rockingham and is a short walk from the Rockingham Police Station. The Magistrates Court finalises simple offences such as minor traffic and criminal charges where the accused is an adult. It is also the court that hears applications and trials for all restraining order matters and minor civil claims.
Checking Into Rockingham Magistrates Court
When you enter the court there will be security on your left. Once you pass security there is a counter on the left where you check your name in with the court orderly. The orderly will let you know which courtroom your matter will be heard in. The courtrooms are located to the back of the court opposite the seating area.
Please ensure you arrive at court prior to the time your matter is listed so you are able to locate the courtroom your matter will be heard in. When you have located the courtroom, there will be seating available and a court orderly will call your matter when it is time for you to appear. Although your matter is listed for a particular time, you may not be called till later in the day. Please be prepared to be at court for most of the day. You should be neatly dressed, and wear closed shoes.

If you are driving to the Rockingham Magistrates Court, there is street parking available on the sides of the road and also a car park area outside the front of the court. You can also take bus numbers 548, 549 and 555 which will take you to Contest Parade, a 1-minute walk to the Magistrates Court. All buses can take you to the Midland Railway Station and the Rockingham Railway Station. The Rockingham Railway Station is a 23-minute walk to the Magistrates Court so we would recommend taking one of the buses.
