Importation Offences
In Australia, the importation of drugs, weapons, explosives, firearms and wildlife is prohibited under various legislation including the Criminal Code Act 1995 and the Customs Act 1901. There are treated by the Australian Government as very serious offences. If convicted of an offence of importation under these acts, it is likely that severe penalties will be imposed, up to and including a custodial sentence.
